Glory Game Player Development is a private soccer training program dedicated to transforming motivated players into elite level players. It is a personalized coaching approach focusing on building technical mastery, tactical intelligence, physical conditioning/match fitness, and the mental toughness required to excel at the highest levels of the game.
Coach Chris Mazzochi is driven by an unmovable desire to give back to this great game, to educate, train, and motivate young players to reach their full potential.
I will leverage the modern methods learned or acquired via foundational certifications, with my rich experience becoming an elite player myself, to train any age and any skill level.
High Level Playing Experience
As a youth my ambition was to play soccer at the highest level I could, with the very best players and coaches involved with the game at the time. When I was about twelve years old, after about two years of struggling to develop as a player as a member of a mid-level division two club team, the soccer Gods moved my family to a cul-de-sac across the street from a very special person.
We were now neighbors with the assistant coach of the US Women's National Team, and head coach of George Mason University, the great Hank Leung. Hank had a very successful coaching career, and wanted to give back to the game as well, so he began training myself, and a few others privately, one on one.
Within two years of adopting Hank's training methods, and consequently by association, the US Women's National Soccer Team's method of training players at the time, I progressed from an average travel team/select player with potential, to a Virginia State Cup Champion, and a four year member of the Virginia State Team (ODP).
I continued training myself using the methods and techniques learned from Hank, and I am proud to say I went on to conclude my playing career, a member of George Mason University Men's Soccer Team.
This team, coached by the late, great, Gordon Bradley, was loaded with elite players from across the country and around the world. Gordon was an excellent coach/manager, and I noted many of his methods for potential future use.
